SB, Answer to "How long can IBM stock go up 25% a q while growing at 7%+-? Not Long. Do you think IBM will continue to grow revenue at this rate? Per Zacks, EPS is expected to grow 14.5% from 1998 to 1999. IMHO revenue will grow at at least this rate. G5 should result in an exceptional 4Q. Coupled with a stock split, IBM should continue to treat longs very well. Scott

I don't pretend to know, but IBM has been confounding the 'experts' for years on this. In addition, I distinctly remember Gerstner stating recently that IBM will show double digit services growth in coming years. With internet commerce and services the growth areas, that might also be putting a floor under the stock. I think the services component (IBM's big grower) is reflected in the numbers that Robert Diver posted in his response.
