Java Technology Solutions
With JavaTM technologies, Sun provides a standard software

The PersonalJava platform is designed specifically for

The EmbeddedJava application environment is designed for use in

configure sytems for resource-constrained environments, chosing only

JavaOS for Consumers
Leveraging the ChorusOS componentized OS architecture, JavaOS for

PersonalJava application environment. JavaOS for Consumers optimizes
the PersonalJava environment by providing native thread support and
access to real-time kernel features, so customers can concurrently
execute both Java applications and real-time applications.

Sun Personal Applications is a new line
of compact, memory-efficient applications
designed specifically for
Internet-connected consumer devices
such as e-mail clients, PDAs, wireless
phones, set-top boxes, and car
navigation systems. Applications like the
new web-browser with integrated
telephony will make it easier for
consumers to access new services - just "point and click" to go from

Java Dynamic Management Kit
The Java Dynamic ManagementTM Kit 3.0 is the industry's first Java
technology-based solution for building and distributing network
management intelligence into Java technology-enabled appliances - so
they can be dynamically managed and updated easily from a central
location. Companies can deploy policy-based just-in time services that
regulate quality of service, update systems, download applications, and
alter security levels - all over a network...faster and more cost-effectively

Consumer Solutions
