Hey guys, I have more bits of info from our friend. Rather good news, wouldn't you say (received 12/1/98):

The hearing in the RICO case did take place yesterday. Thomson
Kernaghan had not provided LONE's lawyers with their trading records
and asked for a continuance on the grounds that their bankruptcy
petition had diverted too much of their time and energies from
attending to this case. When the judge heard this he became livid,
denying the defendents' petition to have this case dismissed, saying
that since they had not voluntarily complied with his request that
they would now "have to do things the hard way," and that the
bankruptcy petition, obviously retaliatory and frivolous, should never
have been filed. He then said to the defendents as a group that they
were "either very unlucky or very guilty." LONE's lawyers expect that
the judge will issue another ruling very soon, perhaps by week's end.
As of this writing, the judge in LA has not yet issued a ruling;
although it could come at any time.
