Friede Goldman International Announces Project
From Noble Drilling

JACKSON, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1998--Friede Goldman International Inc. (NYSE: FGI - news) announced today that Friede Goldman Offshore - West, formerly HAM Marine, Inc., will complete the final outfitting and commissioning of the rig, the Noble Paul Wolfe. This project is the sixth EVA-4000™ project under contract to FGI from Houston-based Noble Drilling Corp. (NYSE: NE - news).

EVA-4000™ projects consist of converting a submersible rig into a semi-submersible rig capable of deep water drilling.
