I think Intel's demonstration at Comdex of their "Camino" platform shows it's already been done.

Intel has been building systems since early 1970's.At least they have greater expertise than novices like AMD and its Taiwanese partners. AMD should have sought out more experienced partners, who could build faster systems than 100Mhz memory with 1/3 L2 Bus.
