I'll let you know how to do that.
That's what I originally thought you had in mind.
I have lots of thoughts on this topic and I'd be happy to discuss this with you.
Glenn.

Sooooo you want to send an email to a GROUP eh? Note key word is GROUP!

If you use Outlook Express for your email - below are the instructions from the HELP tab on setting up groups. It is quite simple - but first you have to get the email addresses in your directory. For starters, here's mine - millby2000@prodigy.net

Good luck - looking forward to your first group email posting.

Steve

To create a group
You can easily send messages to a group of people by creating a mailing group (or "alias") containing their names. Then, you just type the group name in the To box when you send messages. You can create multiple groups, and contacts can belong to more than one group.

In the Address Book, click the New Group button on the toolbar.

In the Group Name box, type the name of the group.

Click Select Members, and then click a name from the Address Book list.

To find people using directory services, click the Find button on the Select Group Members dialog box, select a directory service to search, and then enter your search criteria. When you find the person, click Add to Address Book.

To add the selected name(s) to the group, click Select.

Click OK, and then click OK to close the group properties dialog box.

Notes
To view a list of your groups separately from the address book listings, click the View menu, and then make sure that Groups List is selected.

When you add contacts to your address book from a directory service, the properties that are listed in the directory service (such as address and e-mail address) are automatically added to your address book.

Tim,

You would do it with a distribution list. Once the list is made up all you would do is select the distribution list and mail. Later you could add or delete names at your discretion. If you need some help, send me a private EM and I'll give you whatever assistance I can provide.

Best Regards,
Earthdog

>i would love to set up a private e-mail list but i have no clue on how to send out 100 emails with the same message

Most email programs will let you do this but you'd need everyone's real (not si) address. I use Outlook to email clients - it allows you to create a group of addresses and send a single message to all of its members. If you're interested I'll be glad to help you set it up.

Tim why do you need a private email list if you have this thread? The no regulars just show up to tout their own picks, and you've made clear this is not a hand holding thread. BTW I think cd has lots of legs and will move another 10-15 dollars over the next six months. Its not going to do it in a day like the internets might, but it won't collapse like they might either. Alos like xyln asnd osi amd kide.

fwiw...
i'd prefer you keep your selections on the thread...the SI server keeps messages very current....email can be delayed, and what was helpful info at 9:00 AM could well be old news at 11:30.
also, the discussion that goes on here gets diluted if the "meat of the thread " gets distributed elsewhere.
as always, thanks

To All:

i got a big response regarding me putting out an e-mail list...and after giving it some thought i decided not to and here is why.

i must stress the fact that i'm not nor ever claimed to a stock picking guru. i do get very good solid tips that come my way.ie..asnd,osi,knt,newz,xyln,shrp ect....i will never charge for what i do here because i think it's fine for others but it's not my game.

i like to find solid picks that hopefully we all can make money on.

now this is the most important part:

we do have a lot of fire power here just as tmex has ..it may not be as much but there is still a large amount of people that follow this thread...my point is once i put out a pick (which will never be junk) is is totally up to you te be responsible enough to know your entry and exit points.

DO NOT base your trading on what i do....my trading style may be totally different from yours....so if you have a profit (like what when down with newz) you MUST know when to take your profits and move on.

NEVER treat any of the stocks you buy as family members, treat this as a business and nothing more..LE

leave the emotions out
don't let your winners turn into losers..
