ed, i bot jan99 28.75(2 splits ago) strike leaps july of 96. besides that i have a few long term stocks and that's it. i m maxed out on my long term holdings of msft. i can't own anymore in staying w. asset allocation.

so i trade leaps for intermidiate terms. my trade may span from 1 day to 6 months when ever i feel temp high has reached then i dump them.
even after i pay the lousy bid/ask difference i love to make a few $$ but safe $$. which means i can buy in big quantity since it's the "safe" mony. a $20 leap is lot safer then $20 cheap stock.

in oct. i picked up zmfar, zmfat, zmfab, lmfad along w. dell and csco
leaps.
this monrining i picked up lmfaf.

i keep circulating them. just gives more mony to my broker and folks on that damn pacific exchange that want to keep $2 bucks spread.
