Interesting point made on the COMS thread.With this BC tel contract can the soon to be merged Telus be far behind?

That's a possibility, but even more to the point is BCTel's tie to GTE. Currently they own 51% and the two companies worked side-by-side on their early ADSL trials. I doubt GTE's called the shots, but I do know they've monitored the results and might possibly use the COMS/ NN team in their own networks. I believe GTE announced they were using Orckit in one of their early roll-outs so my speculation would be based on their branching out from there.
