View Systems, Inc. Gains Listing in Standard & Poors and Adds Director of Applications Development

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1998--Gunther Than, President, View Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: VYST) announced today, the company has been approved for listing in Standard & Poors.

View Systems is a developer of software for compressing, storing, searching and transmitting high quality digitized static and cinematic images, along with enhanced surveillance capacity. The company's innovative compression and decompression technology is unique in that it is able to achieve compressions of 300 to 1 with a negligable loss of data.

The market for the technology is an estimated $200 billion worldwide, according to Mr. Than. "Our markets include surveillance and security applications for the military, law enforcement agencies, and commercial and residential security systems." The company expects to have a web-based demonstration of its product in the first quarter of 1999, with product delivery and revenues during the second quarter. The company has been negotiating several joint ventures for product distribution.

"We are also pleased to announce the addition of Justin Griep as director of applications development," says Mr. Than. Mr. Griep has engineered and managed the development of applications for a variety of platforms and industries. Projects include medical device integration, imaging tele-medicine, Internet communications and diagnostic decisions support software.
