Gigapixel was one of the companies that impressed me significantly at Comdex. Unfortunately, they didn't have any real hardware demos to speak of.

BTW, 2AM and I just finished Half-Life (in God-mode)! The visuals towards the end are truely stunning. Yet I am left with the question "Was that fun or just tedious?" Many of the traps, jumps, and monster ambushes are IMHO not doable in normal mode. Ultimately I think the game is too hard and I suspect _very_ few people will be able to finish it without resorting to cheat codes...

Also, I found another _great_ deathmatch level in Sin - making it my new fav game. It's called "Paradox" and it is like battling inside of an M.C. Esher drawing. Each player has a different "gravity" associated with themself. So one person is on the "floor" and another is on the "wall" and another is on the "ceiling" - all trying to kill each other. There are stairways and railings throughout that work one way but not another. You change your "gravity perspective" by running through any of a number of "doors" which teleport you to another part of the room - but after the teleport, what was the floor is now the ceiling/wall. Does it sound confusing? Well, it is! But it's a ton of fun also. It is also beautiful to look at - as are all of Sin's DM levels. You can check it out at 209.20.237.88

Wondering which game to buy for Christmas now (assuming you can only get one)? Having played both games in both modes for several weeks now, I'd recommend Sin (with the patch) over Half-Life (with the patch). FWIW.

We would complain about TV rez if we sat 20 inches away from it.
