"and he said 60% resources is low enough to cause problems"

I ALWAYS leave open about 10 browsers and never close them down or reboot the computer until my resources are down to about 20%, maybe once every few days or once a week. I don't see much degradation at all anywhere above 20%.

I have 49Meg ram. Maybe it makes a big difference if you only have 8 or 16 Meg.

Also, my System Monitor is only showing 600K of free memory and my system is not running slow at all, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I have windows 4.00.950B. I have a Gateway 200 mhz w/MMX, 64 ram, 2.5
G hard Drive. It is about 18 months old and I got all the goodies avialable at the time. I rarely use IE browser but just started in order to learn more for the fun of it. The real weird thing is Netscape runs fine , that is what makes me think my system should be ok. I am a bit of a spaz so I have several browsers running at once so I can do more then one thing at a time and it works fine with Netscape but IE has trouble with one browser open.
Just a little note ....the zip drive I purchased last night is awesome. I moved about 50 mb for my first test ....took about 30 seconds, My space problems are solved.
