Celebrity Auction to Benefit the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation
SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time ever,
people can spread holiday cheer online using the convenience of the
Internet to help benefit Toys for Tots, the non-profit organization
that has been collecting toys for children in need for the past 51
years. This holiday season, celebrities have donated more than 20
unique items that are available for auction exclusively on eBay
(Nasdaq: EBAY), the leading person-to-person online trading community.
eBay's relationship with Toys for Tots developed last holiday season
when users held their own toy drive to benefit the charity, and eBay
decided to make the partnership official this year as a national
sponsor. The auctions can be found online at ebay.com under
the "Lights, Camera, Auction" icon or by searching the site for "Toys
for Tots." All proceeds from the auctions will go directly to the
Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
Starting this week, unique items donated by celebrities, including
scripts autographed by the casts of "Ally McBeal," "Dharma & Greg," and
"Fraiser," two basketballs autographed by Shaquille O'Neal, and a
stuffed animal signed by little Jonathan Lipnicki from "Jerry Maguire,"
will be up for auction on eBay. New items will be available each week
through December 20.

raise money for the charity and also find some truly unique holiday
