yes, this is a win win situation for us. How high of a market cap could AOL go to. I mean MSFT has a cap of like 300 billion which is pretty high. AOL should pass 100 on the next up swing here next week. Gee we are up like 1000 points on the dow without a slight pullback. now we have a pull back and move higher.

S&P is going to add AOL to the INDEX!

That's not remotely what the story stays. It says "Analysts and Traders expect" AOL to be added to the S&P 500 - You're reporting hype by market participants, not a decision by S&P.

In fact, the comment from S&P is quite negative:

'David Blitzer, S&P's chief economist and chairman of the committee that picks new index members, defends the exclusion of companies without a solid history of earnings. ''It doesn't do us any good to add a company and then have it go belly-up.'' he said.'
