The current Imac offering is scheduled for a price drop to $999. in Feb/99 according to ZDNet. A new machine with more features (not identified at this time) will then be introduced at the $1299 price point. I would bet that Apple will address the "disk" issue then, that is the battle for IOM to win!

That is the same package that they are selling at " TheApple Store". I imagine that if Apple starts bundling the USB Zip everyone else will too. I'd be surprised if there wasn't an announcement any day now about that.

Senthil.....sounds to me like iMac sales have hit the wall. Saw a post somewhere yesterday that iMacs could be had for $999.

Don't know if you want to 'give away' USB ZIPS in one aisle and try to get $200 for them in the next aisle.....and.....would IOM PC vendors not demand equal treatment?
