Internet mania in action:

It's been a long time since I checked by the "India Coffee House"
thread, but as I own a little IFN I thought I'd stop in, and what
do I find:

Since I mentioned these buys, I thought I'd mention sells, in case
some fool followed me into these -g-...

I'm out of Security Dynamics (SDTI) at an average of 15 (missed Monday A.M., unfortunately). Looking to get back in around 10 1/2; think
this one's a good long termer but it got ahead of itself, and
~50% in a few weeks is OK by me. Also it is
part of an Internet index, which I guess means it could get away
from me... TA'er;s note: it gapped up to 20 Mon.,
and if you want to spec on it filling that gap, be my guest...

The hope is that it becomes the Microsoft of internet security,
or some mild approximation thereof... export controls render
worldwide domination problematic however, though those are
loosening a bit..

Also closed out the remaining Brooks Automation momentumish trade
@ 15 1/4, and am accelerating the dribble into BEARX a bit...

NRGN, CEGE my favorite long holdouts... I have this feeling they
are each being accumulated ahead of another run...

Don't trust those feelings, though...

Like that cash. Maybe some of it should be Swiss Francs...

P.S. The above are not sell recommendations. I am not qualified
to offer advice to sell securities. Selling securities is highly
risky, and should only be done with the advice of a securities
trading professional.

Mike, et al,

Does anyone have an idea where I could find information concerning short term betas? What I'd like to find is companies that went down the most during the 20% decline and the current 5% decline, in order to hedge my long (too long) portfolio.

Thought of long puts on internuts, but premies too high.. also, the underlying stocks move far to high on up market days.

Don't want to sell long term gains and give up 20%. Any idea?

Richard
