So the hawk got a winged rat? We had to quit feeding the birds in the winter as a hawk used the feeder for it's hunting grounds. It's neat to watch the hawks get the mice in our pasture. Saw an Osprey take a coot off of the city park pond last year. Back about 5 years ago we saw an Eagle kill a Canada Goose in Southern Illinois. Quite impressive.
