Metromedia Fiber sets 2-for-1 stock split

NEW YORK, Dec 3 (Reuters) - Metromedia Fiber Network Inc. said on Thursday it had approved a two-for-one split of its class A and class B common stock, record December 8.

After the split, Metromedia Fiber Network will have about 77 million class A common shares outstanding, without giving effect to unexercised warrants and options, and about 16.8 million class B common shares.

Metromedia Fiber shares were up 2-5/8 to 53-3/4.
