Dipy,

There have been many "witch hunts" by
Independent Councils since the creation
of the law in 1977. In fact, the first
IC ever appointed was stuck on a Jimmy
Carter appointee named Hamilton Jordon.
His Crime? It was thought that Mr. Jordan
was snorting cocaine at the Disco nightclub
called "Studio 54" in New York City. After
a year of investigation the Prosecutor
threw in the towel citing that there was
no credible evidence that this event had
ever occured. However, I bet you loved
the work of IC Lawrence Walsh who got 4
convictions including Lt. Col Oliver North,
and John Poindexter. He was also kind
enough to file a baseless indictment against
President George Bush four days before the
election in 1992. I bet you hooted and
hollered all through Mr. Walsh's Iran-Contra
Grand Inquisition.
