I live in Calgary and if I want to buy a business book I am not too price sensitive since I can write it off...the price difference of $17 in your example is significant, but what price convenience? My time is valuable and probably worth $17 even if there was no write-off. If I was going to spend $60 on a book I might phone around to see if there was a better price. Again, considerations such as these are commonplace. There is also the public library.
