TheStreet.com to Deliver Timely Financial News to 3Com Palm VII(TM)
Connected Organizer - PRNewswire, 01:50 p.m Dec 02, 1998 Eastern

SANTA CLARA, Calif., and NEW YORK, Dec. 2
/PRNewswire/ -- TheStreet.com, a leading online financial
publication, today announced plans to deliver timely financial
markets news wirelessly to users of the Palm VII(TM)
organizer, a new handheld computing product from Palm
Computing, a 3Com company.

The new Palm VII connected organizer, announced today at the
Palm Computing Platform Worldwide Developer Conference,
will enable users to quickly and easily obtain important
information from TheStreet.com and several other Web sites
remotely via a wireless connection to the Internet. With mobile
connectivity to TheStreet.com, Palm VII users can access the
latest news affecting the financial markets.

"TheStreet.com has helped thousands of investors achieve
financial independence," said Kevin English, chief executive
officer of TheStreet.com. "With this agreement, we're extending
that freedom so they can manage their portfolio even when
they're away from their desktop computer, whether they are on
the golf course, in a taxicab, or in an airport lounge."

Andrea Butter, acting vice president of marketing for Palm
Computing, said, "The investment community has been quick to
embrace our products as a means of staying in touch with
important financial information. Now with real-time access to
TheStreet.com's wealth of market data, the Palm VII organizer
becomes an indispensable tool for investors on the go."

Palm VII organizer users can receive three daily financial market
updates from TheStreet.com. These updates -- one each before
the market open, at lunchtime, afternoon, and after the close --
provide a quick summary of the day's most active stocks and the
performance of the market indicators investors care about most.

The Palm VII connected organizer is the first handheld solution
for out-of-the-box wireless communications and Internet access.
In addition to providing fast and simple access to personal and
business information, the Palm VII organizer enables users to
quickly, easily and securely obtain information from Web sites
via a wireless connection to the Internet and provides a means of
instant two-way personal communications. The Palm VII
organizer enters a national field trial in January 1999, and is
expected to be widely available in the U.S. next year.

With the Palm VII organizer, 3Com also introduces a
revolutionary new model for accessing Internet information,
called Web clipping. Web clipping is a means of extracting a
specific set of needed information from a given Web site by
requesting certain types of information via special query forms
that reside on the Palm VII device. Information received from
the Internet by a Palm VII user is automatically optimized for
viewing on the Palm VII screen.

Joe,

I have absolutely no problems
with it, as long as I know institutionals are backing me up.

I wonder how much more buying we can reasonably expect these folks to do though. I mean they have been buying like sick.. and besides.. I have enough COMS ;-)... it's time for me to go into HOLD mode on this thing until after earnings I think.

But maybe fortunately for me, I only had $$ for a small
portion...but accumulation is never wrong when fundamentals
are going.

Oh I agree, actually I have a good chunk of cash about 40-45% sitting on the sidelines, partly because of the recent run up in the market. I'm not convinced that everything is hunky-dory in the market in general and for that reason I believe caution (to some extent) is adviseable.
