Bottom fishing is dangerous, they say. Why not buy when the stock breaks a 50 day or 100 day or whatever moving average going up? That way you're buying in an uptrend, and the trend is your friend.

I don't know how low it will go, but now would be a good time for ESV to start its stock buyback program. That would be a good sign. I'm in with 200 shares at 9 7/8, but I plan on adding more once my uncle gives me a call. He's an oil engineer consultant and likes ESV quite a bit. He's been buying on the way down. I don't see ESV going below $7.50. I expect OPEC to cut supplies at its February meeting. Plus, with that being close to the end of winter, demand will be catching up to supplies.

Your thoughts?
