I didn't see anything new today. There is one news about the 'gag order' that RMBS licensee has to sign into. That is at least several weeks old and you should be able to find the old article which I remember is almost exactly alike (I wonder if the same person wrote it and submit to different journals).

There is the other one about NEC sampling DDR chips. Let's remember these memory vendors need to cover all bases (RDRAM and DDR and Synclink if that becomes a reality). What is important now is design wins. RDRAM had a huge 'design win' with Intel to supply next generation memory for PCs. But its acceptance in other areas (networking devices, graphic cards) is not given and they need to win one by one. The nod given by Intel will definitly help their story and standard effort as well.

For the next year, I think the challenge is predominately in the PC arena. How fast can they penetrate the PC market? Can the cost be cut down so even the lowend PC may have Rmbs inside? etc.
