I spoke with Mr McBeath earlier today and asked about the status of the 14-day animal dosing studies. This will be completed by the end of the first week of January, and then the data (histopathology) will be analyzed. This involves three different pathologists independently analyzing the slides and then arriving at a conclusion that all of them agree upon. The completion date for data analysis should be sometime in March, and if everything goes well the data can be submitted for initiation of Phase 1 human studies. In animal studies to date, so far no toxic effects have been seen.

I'm hoping that the new year will bring not just an end to tax-loss selling, but a revival of interest in small-cap stocks, esp. biotechs. It's possible. If you've heard a lot of analysts in the last few months many of them are talking about the compelling values many small stocks offer, but wonder what the catalyst will be to ignite this sector.

Happy holidays everyone.
