Dan, I actually think Newt is a pretty smart guy and probably isnt accurately stating what he truly thinks when he says this,

"I mean I totally underestimated the degree to which people would just get sick of 24-hour-a-day talk television and talk radio and then the degree to which this whole scandal became just sort of disgusting by sheer repetition," Gingrich said.

Because we all know it wasnt really the repitition that killed him - the whole thing was vile from day one. I was kind of sorry to see Newt get the ax because I was afraid the next speaker would be someone even more conservative, example Largent (who wasnt up for speaker I dont think) is another fundamentalist Christian as I understand it and then were back to prayer in schools and other divisive issues.

Newt was always good for a laugh... remember his "lets give a laptop to every poor person" idea... ha ha ha

Showing your ignorance again, Gore? Stringing together a bunch of non sequiturs doesn't make your point any stronger.

I called for Gingrich's ouster because, as I said, he had been permanently demonized by the White House, rendering his bipartisanship ineffective. I've gotten over it. Why don't you?
