Carlos just emailed me back. There are no planned changes to their distribution system. They sell their products through mfgr reps, including cable modems. This seems strange to me; however, I don't understand the rep business. It may be that breaking out part of their sales (cable modems) for direct sales might upset the reps, and they don't want to do this. Or it may just not be economically viable. Either way, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume this issue has been examined.

Clark, I just realized that I needed to look at the power supply on my new cable modem to see who made it. Guess what? It's an Ault!

If they have Media One locked up they're going to sell a lot of them.
