Jimbo and El: I certainly would not short CPQ. I am tempted to sell and come back in $2 or $3 lower if this should prove a bum rumour. But that would only be to maximise my return. I don't feel at all concerned about holding it, even if it does retrace, because I expect it to go to $60+ within a year. As you know I predicted for a long time that it would break out last week - so I'm three days too early <ggg>

You are right, El, this is where it should be at this time - at least - just wish it did it without this rumour. Anyway, glad you're making money.

Jimbo,

I have to say that I agree with you. CPQ would not have any interest in letting these guys fly by themselves, but it sure could be somewhere in the middle.

I believe that it went up today ONLY on the rumor.

Does anyone have an after hours quote?
Is this getting any ink on CNBC?

Jimbo: You said " CPQ could sell a portion (20% or so) of AV to the public in an IPO and still use its position as a majority owner of AV to accomplish all the business add-on's that you are suggesting."

That is an interesting point. But 20% is not worth $2 per share.
