Actually, they are doing exactly what they should with the GX - focusing on low-power and embedded applications. The NEC and Casio mini-notebooks, the Boundless and Wyse thin-clients, and hopefully a Webpad in the future are good examples of where the GX belongs. At $399, the total silicon component of a PCs cost is about the same as the hard drive or Windows98. Getting rid of the hard drive and Win98 is critical to the proliferation of $200 to $300 devices. That's what their goal is with the GX and PCOAC.
