<<I'm sure the analysts tell their big clients first.>>

Actually, I heard a bunch of people complaining about the selected news flow coming out of that conference, and particularly the Disk Drive "breakout sessions" [the "no press allowed" sessions that follow the public displays of PowerPoint ... and the early morning golf ...] on Tuesday. People were whining that they were not invited to CSFB's newly invigorated Technology Conference [Frankie Q. and the boys ... mercenaries from Morgan Stanley via DeutscheBankersGrenfellTrust ...] ... the PortMgrs were apparently upset that they couldn't pile into the DDs that day after Chuckie Haggerty of WDC (I'll lie to you, but I'll lie while looking at you right in the eyes ... tangent ... the day they priced the zero-coupon convert he quipped: "My father always told me that the best time to raise money is when you don't actually need it." ... My ass ... if they did not do that deal the company would have Micropolised ...) said that business was getting better.

Yeah ... we are the last to know ... Though, I would agrue that it is sometimes better to be the last to know some of this stuff ... as long as you are not a trader and maintain a rational discipline with an eye on the long term (basically, as long as you are the complete antithesis of 99% of the PortMgrs out there!).
