It does say "SOES" on the button in my version of RT. There is the option to send a limit or market SOES order. I try not to use it but, after some rejected orders on SNET, SOES is turning out to be a decent way out (and it's cheap too).

If you are correct about the way it's routed to MMs, underbidding the best bid would be a good way to get out at the best price in a falling market (I wonder if they can back away from orders under their bid).
