At this stage, it would be like trying to reason with one of Clinton's lawyers. In fact, I do speak with these folks off the record, and I am always amazed to learn that they actually know what the near to intermediate solutions are, and what the time lines would be for capital recovery. But there are reasons...

I know full well what you mean concerning the Y2K boondoggle, incidentally. I've got a team working on carrier compliance right now at one of the downtown financial institutions here in NY.

I think that many folks would be surprised to know what lurks out there in CarrierLand right now, that still needs to be tagged and remedied. And the ISPs? How many of those 6000 or so mom and pops out there are using servers that have never even been addressed in this context?
