<<< Actually I own a Minolta SLR and a Pentax point and shoot. My decision on each was based on price, quality and available options.>>>

Congrats, you're one of the informed buyers. I am too. Also, I couldn't afford comparable Pentax SLR, but I consoled myself with a manual one. But not many are...informed buyers I mean. BTW, which one cost more ? And how much cheaper was Minolta point and shoot ? And why did you buy Pentax point and shoot ? Why not Minolta,I presume Minolta, with same features would have been cheaper. In fact, Chinon is just as great, and its extremely cheap, I won it as a prize 5 years back, but you didn't buy that. I wonder why.

<<<If Johnny jumps in the lake will you too?>>>
I'm not sure the analogy is appropriate. We're talking about an emerging industry, not Johnny's whim and fancy. In the examples you gave, is ANY company comparable to YHOO ? I'm not from this country and I've never heard of these companies....so maybe you'll have to help me here. Any paradigm shift involved which made valuation difficult ?

You want to invest based on valuation. See CIEN. Great company, undervalued. Just the stock price hasn't moved much since I bought. Nobody wants the stock even though it is a great company......

I rest my case.
