Shares of CheckFree (CKFR) rose 13 percent Wednesday after the company said Oracle will use its electronic-payment software. Financial terms weren't disclosed. The companies said in a release they will promote the Open Financial Exchange. Electronic bill payment is hailed as a quicker, less expensive way to pay for goods and services.
