Fred,

Re: network marketing

I am not quite sure why anyone would use DC (which is the only thing unique to Nextel) to buy anything, or I can't imagine any Nextel customer willing to tolerate telemarketing calls on DC.

It seems to me there are other, more universal ways to communicate (phone, email, www) that are far more practical. We will see if Nextel gets into PDA type devices. I think those have a lot of potential. Nextel has a network (I mean communication, not marketing) and all they need is some data capability and some PDA devices that work on Nextel network.

Probably you're right about Nextel needing to
change their marketing program. The fact that
they only have one commercial really amazes me.
Is it really that tough for a company the size
of Nextel to have at least 7, 8 10 or 15 second
spots. We're right before Christmas here, and
this same ol, same ol is all Americans have to
formulate their first impressions of a whole new
industry. Not that it's a bad ad, it's okay.
But why just one ad? Of course any one ad would
get stale.
