Mr. Langford, it is good to see you again. I am sure we will all benefit from your input.

Currently the feeling is spreading that the market is tired of internets. Today should see more terrible percentage losers. Cash is a good place to be right now.

If we can keep from losing too much this month, there will be some terrific bargains come the last week of the month, when the tax sell-offs drive the market. Then, provided there are no catastrophes from Jan. 1, 1999 look ahead to Y2K, we should rally in the first week of January. By then, institutions and fund managers should have selected their picks and begun throwing lots of cash into the market.

I plan on picking up some bargains later this month. But for now, I am going to observe from the sidelines mostly, save a few super bargains left over from the summer declines.

November was terrific. Let us be thankful and move on.
