I likely will start shorting in the spring, just now we're getting ready to fly south for the mating season. But real stocks only, stocks that file on edgar or sedar, that have some sort of liquidity to them, some sort of predictable rhythm. I can't believe that they let non-reporting crap trade on the OTC-BB, and can't understand why anybody would touch it either way, it's so susceptible to manipulation, it's a deck stacked against the individual investor and benefits only the scamster promoter contingent. I have a little herd that I seem to have the knack of trading - wsp.v, k.to (kgc on ny), two or three others you never heard of. But always long, I know I should short ... for instance I sold Winspear today and wished I could push a 'short' button on it ... same with Kinross last Friday ... they're both good stocks and I hold both long-term as well, but sometimes it's just so plain that they're selling off, and shorting makes it pay both ways .... definitely will get an account set up to short next year. One difference up here is that our brokers are not nearly as competitive or efficient as yours - we hear you guys complaining about Etrade or Datek or whoever and wish we had your problems. If you ever want to feel good about your broker, read some of the back posts here #Subject-22429 ... for instance, 'Etrade Canada' #reply-6632610 - you wouldn't believe their rates. Thanks for the offer, I've actually read quite a few of your posts on Roger's and Bill Wexler's, and last year you and TLC and others had a great series on some trader's thread I can't remember now .... and then of course the Flame thread -g- ..... may truth prevail ..... cheers
