A message from Todd D. Wiener... in perfectly unsensor format

Hi Andy!

How's it going?

Yeah, I miss the SI gang as well, but I honestly have had my hands (and feet) full with TechTrends. You know, its the typical small business startup issues.

THQI's doing well, and I like the acquisition of the FunSoft Subsidiary. I'm not sure how profitable it is, though, since THQI is only paying $6 million for $20-30 million in sales. I'd also like to know why their sales seem to have declined this year. Oh well, it's okay. I'm interested to see how this acquisition will affect THQI's operating statement, because this is the first time THQI has acquired a company with real sales. I also suspect that there will be at least 2 more acquisitions in the next year: another European distributor (maybe in the UK) and another developer (perhaps Japanese). I also would like to see THQI acquire some titles or licenses from other companies, like IPLY. I suspect that a takeover price for THQI would be somewhere in the high 40s, so I think Farrell is going to avoid being bought out for now. Next year should be very strong, especially if Shao Lin is successful.

Anyway, those are some of my thoughts on things (even if you didn't ask for them ;o)

I don't have an opinion on CS, as I haven't followed it for a while.
Sorry.

I hope that you have a great holiday season. I, too, hope to make an
appearance on SI soon.

Take care, and feel free and post the above paragraph about THQI on the THQI thread.
