Quick comments... 1) Brad, your link to Compaq's side monitor mount scanner is very interesting. I just wish we could order one of these $100 babies and try them out. 2) Sensar is going public in 1999. Eye scanning is catching on with NEC and ATMs. Most of us long timers have resigned the ATM business to the eye scan companies some time ago. Sensar's IPO concurrent with its "market blow out" of ATM application sales is another sign of widespread acceptance of biometrics. IMO the eyescanners will be limited mostly to ATM applications and James Bond commercials and are not a significant threat in other areas.
