>Give it up Robert S. > your steet-corner urchins are perhaps ill informed. Let me now give you a little perspective(views)
1. You admit bpi "may" be usefull as a anti-endotoxon.
2. You admit bpi "may" have a effect upon some cytokines.
3. You have yet to admit that bpi "may" have effect on complement
and acute phase protiens.
With that said, I will postulate (and I could be wrong) that
IF in fact bpi is a anti-endotoxin,
THAT bpi WILL have a effect on many inflamatory mediators in sepsis(tnf, IL-1,IL-6,IL-8),
That in turn
IF IL-6 is mediated, (indirectly by BPI)
THEN SO TOO will the ACUTE PHASE RESPONSE and assorted proteins ALSO "may" be mediated.
That is MY postulation (views) and can certainly be incorrect.
SO READ ON>>>>>
THAT said, READ this next link,
then Go to >SEPTIC SHOCK<then>ACUTE PHASE PROTEIN< link.
then come back and READ this note again.
Will bpi solve the riddle? To early to say for sure, but I maintain that you are grossly underestimating its potential role. Enjoy>>http://www2.lmb.uni-muenchen.de/cgi-bin/cope.pl?001573

All IMO, all disclaimers, treat as worthless info. Do your own research.

And don't even think about getting me started on LBP. VBG.

Bob or Robert, I would love to hear your opinion on the proposed change of domicile. Forgive me if I anticipate that you are against it.

While you obviously don't speak for other posters here are on Yahoo, can you think of any reasons those who were against a change have remained silent?

BTW while I own no RGO, it is difficult for me to understand why it is so depressed. I disliked their I.R. Dept. and sold out some time ago.
