I too got caught up 2 years ago in video conferencing excitement - I bought shares of C-Phone (CFON) only to see it slide down to $3. It's had its bounces, but the main thing is that their and 8X8's products have not caught on as predicted. 5 years ago, being able to see the person you were talking to on the phone seemed to be a goldmine for investment - but the public just hasn't seemed interested. And with the RealPlayer you can get more or less get an acceptable picture over the net.
