SMSI- I just spoke with the company and here is a summary of what they said:
Before 1998, company primarily operated in modem area of business and they do have established relationships with 3Com and other providers. Because this business was low margin and they wanted to expand their offerings they have moved into internet area. The company started shipping the Internet CommSuite in mid-October and we will begin to see revenues coming in when earnings are released for 4th quarter. The company has thus far received a favorable response to the product. Over the next few quarters, the company will be trying to expand their presence in OEM market by offering this product to internet service providers, content providers, hardware companies, etc..
The company is taking advantage of the XCSl new technology and other means of technology. The company does not give specific projections for growth. But they did say that the revenues from older products have stabilized and that the new products will of course be additive and propel growth inside the company. The company also will be releasing a corporate edition of the Internet CommSuite in late December which will offer fax and other services through internet and intranet. The company feels this is a great move as this a much higher margin product line and they feel growth should expand with the new products.
