In the BW Dec 7 page 96 (USA edition) "Through A Glass Quickly," look on page 98, column 1, 3rd paragraph that starts "Now, the WDM race is spreading around the globe. "Ciena" is on line 6 ( ...supplying Cable & Wireless).

But the next paragraph has " 'It looks like another California gold rush' ... All the telecom-tech heavyweights - such as Ericsson, Northern Telecom, and Pirelli Cable - are rushing to stake claims with their own WDM technology."
