Hi folks, CDMA Tidbits from the Near North.

Just passed by my local Bell Mobility storefront. They only available cdma phones were the dual band/dual mode QPE varieties. Was told that Motorola's new cdma Microtac which I had previously seen in the store had been recalled. Something to do with the software. They were expecting them back soon. I trust Moto's TQM marketing bent isn't being challenged.

On the Q front, we had a full page newspaper ad announcing the availability of the single mode (1900 Mhz) Q phone last week. When I asked about it in the store, I was told it will not be available until next year (2 or 3 months). Although disappointing, this is a definite improvement over their previous messages, "come back in six months". Given the ad and there being nothing about a Q phone on their web site, it sounds like the store folks may have this one right.

Here's a couple of releases related to wirelessKnowledge. This could well be the hottest item greeting the new millennium.
