Mikan, at 6'10", was the first of the super centers. By today's standards he wasn't much.

But he did force a major change in the game. When he atarted, the base of the lane was only 3 of 4 feet wide. With his dominating size and touch under the basket, they stretched it out to it's current width.

He think he would be "good" in last years game. Techniques for training and developing big men have especially improved over the years.

I pretty much agree with your summation.

Despite their size difference, Magic and Cousy played a lot alike.
