Are you getting price improvement on Nasdaq better than your limit order? Do you put your limit between the spread, or do you place marketable limit orders? If the orders are placed between the spread, how often do you go unfilled despite trades going off at your price (Nasdaq)? If marketable, how often do you get price improvement?

Is the broker you are using internet based?

Oh, and envelope please? (:-)

My trades, when filled, were costing at least $30 a piece on Datek. Limit buy orders were NEVER filled when they equaled the low for the day. Limits buys were only filled when the low was at least 1/8 lower than my limits.
I've never had this problem with DLJ. I consistantly get limit fills at the low for the day.

I could walk down the street to an SOES broker and do a lot better than Datek, IMO.
