Trimark increases Kinross holdings Trimark Financial Corporation TMF Shares issued 94,557,750 Dec 2 close $21.20 Thu 3 Dec 98 News Release Also Kinross Gold Corp (K) Mr. M. Kevin Feeney reports In open market purchases through the TSE, 2,204,400 shares of Kinross Gold have been acquired by mutual funds sponsored by Trimark. Trimark funds now hold 42,118,500 shares, or 14.4 per cent of the issued shares of Kinross. The purchases by Trimark on behalf of Trimark funds were made in the ordinary course of business for investment purposes and not for the purpose of influencing the control or direction of Kinross. Trimark may, from time to time, acquire additional shares, dispose of all or some of those shares or may continue to hold those shares. Mike, I posted a brief message on the Miramdor web site on Dec2/98 asking why after 5 months of drilling We haven't received any updates on drilling as of yet. this is Their very brief response. Reply from your e-mail on wednesday The operator of the project is Kinross and they have not as yet released drill results to us. We expect these very shortly however, and are extremely confident, considering as well that we had great success in our drill program prior to Kinross. Mirandor
