MONEY WELL SPENT!

As part of the lengthy investigation, Smaltz won a dozen related convictions and accumulated nearly $12 million in fines and penalties, including a $6 million fine from Tyson Foods last December.

That's what a justice department budget is for, Dip, to ward out corruption.

He had won a number of convictions in the case. In addition, Espy was forced to resign by Clinton. Don't know if this was a case of jury nullification but apparently, it was conduct Espy could be fired with cause for but not convicted. Reverse of Clinton BJ - conduct he can be convicted for but he can't be fired for.
