Yep, market manipulation and a nice slide show <gggg>

How does one manipulate a stock like Lu trading on average over 8 1/2
million shares a day. Get all one's friends and relatives to buy at the same time? (ggg)

Now a more logical reason could be a short squeeze, but there should be some serious selling into this kind of move. I'm baffled.

Unsure why you characterized this as a squeeze on LU, Haim.

Nevertheless, I'm not sure why it was such a sssssst! hot day
for Lucent. I'm thinking perhaps there is some big news
waiting in the wings - the smart money knows,
but, as yet, we do not.

Could it be the notion China's telecom dereg seen as a vast opportunity (old news) ?
