Semi stocks are a natural play if you believe in the Internet mania going on. Especially those who focus on the high end. The programmable logic devices, the communications backbones, laser and fibre optics, etc. As we have seen with EMC, Fibre channel storage is also exploding which in turn increases demand for those high end chips. AMCC, UNPH, BRCM, PMCS, VTSS, RMFD, LLTC and many others present much better risk/reward ratios to those internuts. IMO. The main caution with this group is buying low. They run up so fast, it's tempting to chase some of them. My discipline won't allow me to chase them, so I have missed some runs, but hey, that's the way it goes! As quickly as you can change your bookmarks, an online company can go kaput! When you start a zero sales, it's easy to say your website has grown 1000% in a year. Let's see how the coming shakeout changes the landscape for internuts.
