Gabor, Excellent show on John D. Rockefeller on A&E Biography, also discussing the Exxon/Mobil merger. In 1919 after the ordered breakup of the Standard Oil Trust, this pious German Baptist- are you ready for this? Was worth 1 percent of the entire GNP of the USA- Far richer than any person ever before him or after him in the USA's entire history! And do not forget his son, the philanthropist John D. Rockefeller Jr., bought the entire Yosemite, Arcadia, Great Smoky Mountains, and Jackson Hole Park Areas- and donated them for National Parks to the US Government!! Sincerely, Doug F.
