The float will dry up with a couple of 20 million days. SME is closing strong.

SME - I see 14.7 million shares traded already today - and news isn't even confirmed yet. Loading up for the morning gap. I think I will not be alone !!!!!!

Yes, SME has 86 mil float. AMD has 104 mil float. IOM has 184 mil float. AOL has 334 mil float.

Float affects volatility. Larger floats can be a help to those coming late to the party. KTEL first traded with a float of 1 mil. The quick won and the slow lost and the company has just shown us that there was never anything there to begin with, by being delisted from Nasdaq [soon].

Large float stocks can take a week before they reverse direction, allowing everyone to hop in that would like to. Also makes positive earnings tougher to come by.

It is just a different flavor.
